Ida B. Wells was an American journalist and civil rights activist who bravely investigated and wrote about violence against Black Americans at a time when few dared speak out. She helped found organizations that fought for civil rights and women's voting rights, and continued speaking out despite serious threats to her safety. She is remembered today as a pioneering investigative journalist and a fearless voice for justice.
