Roberto Clemente was a Puerto Rican baseball player who became one of the greatest outfielders in Major League Baseball history, admired for his powerful throwing arm and clutch hitting. He was also deeply generous, spending his off-seasons helping people in need across Latin America and the Caribbean. He died in a plane crash while personally delivering earthquake relief supplies, and is remembered as much for his kindness as for his athletic greatness.
