Susan B. Anthony was an American activist who spent her life fighting for women's right to vote. She traveled the country giving speeches and was once arrested simply for voting in an election, since women were not yet legally allowed to. Her decades of work helped lead to the 19th Amendment, which finally gave American women the right to vote.
